3. Purposes and legal basis for processing personal data

Lin OAK Ltd. collects and processes personal data of Customers and/or their contacts in order to fulfil contractual obligations, provide services, manage customer relationships, process purchases/order, accept payments, and protect the legitimate interests of Lin OAK Ltd. In the cases listed, the collection and processing of certain personal data is necessary for the purpose of the cooperation and failure to provide it may jeopardise the start of the cooperation and/or the performance of the contract.

Lin OAK Ltd may process your personal data for business-related marketing activities in order to provide you with up-to-date information about our offers and/or to inform you about loyalty benefits tailored specifically for you. We may also process personal data to obtain your evaluation of our service in order to improve the quality of our customer service. The processing of data for marketing communications, invitations and offers is voluntary, we will ask for your consent to initiate such communications. You may opt-out of such communications at any time in accordance with paragraph 10 of the Policy.

The personal data collected includes, but is not limited to, the following data, as well as changes thereto:

  • name, surname, date of birth and personal identification number;
  • contact details, such as email address, address and telephone number, and for corporate clients, details of the company represented by the subject, delivery address, information relating to the subject's position and contact details within the company, and power of attorney;
  • information on communication;
  • transaction data.

5. Disclosure of personal data to third parties

Lin OAK Ltd takes appropriate data protection measures to ensure that your personal data is not accessed by third parties who do not have the appropriate legal basis to process it. We carefully select our personal data processors and, when making a transfer, we assess the necessity and the amount of data to be transferred. The transfer of data to processors is carried out in compliance with the requirements of confidentiality and secure processing of personal data.

8. Storage of personal data

Most of your personal data is retained only for the duration of the business relationship or as long as the customer's consent to the processing of personal data is valid. However, some personal data may be retained beyond the end of the customer relationship if required by external laws and regulations, such as accounting supporting documents, invoices, contracts or for as long as necessary to defend the legitimate interests of Lin OAK Ltd. Your personal data is deleted when the above circumstances cease to apply.

Lin OAK Ltd shall ensure the protection of personal data collected by applying appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised access, disclosure, accidental or unlawful loss, alteration or destruction. We endeavour to use all protective measures that are reasonably justified by our financial and organisational capabilities as well as technical progress, however, you should note that no security system can guarantee complete prevention of all personal data breaches.

10. Rights and obligations in relation to personal data

You are obliged to inform Lin OAK Ltd if the personal data you have provided have changed. You are also obliged to inform us if you have established that the personal data we process is inaccurate or out of date.

You have the right to request and obtain information about your personal data collected and processed by SIA Lin OAK, as well as to request their correction, deletion, restriction of processing, to object to the processing of personal data, as well as the right to data portability in the cases and according to the procedure set out in the General Data Protection Regulation, as well as the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of personal data.

Upon receipt of your written request, we will verify your identity, assess the request and respond within the timeframe set out in the laws and regulations. We will comply with your request for rectification and deletion of data if it is permitted by law, does not affect Lin OAK Ltd.'s business activities or the performance of its obligations.
